UPDATED: Genesis the second edition!!

My debut book, the apple of my eye Genesis has a second edition! A second edition to books is like a remix to a song or the deluxe edition of album - there are add ons.

As I officially began working on my second book earlier this month I realized this could take a while. That's when the idea to re-publish Genesis pooped into my head! I had been wanting to create a new cover and start selling on Amazon so that's what I did! The second edition has a new cover, TWO NEW POEMS, and I published it through Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) by Amazon. The book is available in paperback and as an e-book and gets delivered with prime shipping (you know that fast 2-3 day guarantee from Amazon).

Aside from the new cover and wider visibility via KDP publishing I wanted to give my readers something else to actually read! I took two poems that we’re going to be in my second book and put them into Genesis is second edition. It was a bit difficult to find one’s that kept with the flow of the book but I believe “window pain” and “predator” do just that!

The first edition of my book, published in November, was kind of done on a whim. I had been thinking about self- publishing for over a year but one night I just decided to go for it. So I uploaded a word document manuscript and used Lulu.com (former publisher) cover creating tool and hit submit! Boom instant publisher! at the time I didn’t know much anything about formatting the layout of my pages, designing a cover, creating a brand. All that came after.

Fast forward to last week when I did everything the ”right way” and opened my mailbox to the book of my dreams!

It took about 48 from the time I submitted my manuscript for KDP to send me an email saying my book was live on Amazon! I was pleasantly surprised to see that this also came with Prime.
